ATTN Clinton Nature Preserve Walkers!

There's no set day for the team to walk--maybe in the future.  I plan on going at least twice a week.

For those of you who walk at other parks in Douglas County, you can join for free and create your own team.  I noticed there aren't any other teams for Douglas County.  I know people walk at Hunter Park and Deerlick Park.

Botanical Boogie 5K and Fun Run

Someone stuck this under the wipers of my car today so I thought I'd share it with you.  This is presented by the Junior League of Douglas County.  They built the Children's Playgarden, which is handicapped-accessible, at Clinton Nature Preserve.

To register for the 5K or Fun Run, go to http://www.active.com.  Race day registration will be at 7:00 a.m.  The one mile Fun Run starts at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K run starts at 8:30 a.m.

Registration is $20 for adults.  Everyone who pre-registers by April 19 on http://www.active.com gets a t-shirt.  After April 19 and on race day, the registration fee is $25, and t-shirts are first come, first serve.  Adults can also register for $15, but you don't get a t-shirt.  Children under 12 can register for $12, and $2 goes to the school of your choice.  An award will be given to the school with the most entries.  Proceeds go to the Junior League of Douglas County.
