Irish Bred Pub Update

I emailed the Irish Bred Pub since a couple of people were searching for an opening date and asked them when they would open.  Neil Jenkins responded and sent me a peice he wrote for next month's Chapel Hill News & Views.  He says the pub should be open either April 3 or 4, the opening being delayed 4-5 weeks because of the fire last month.  The peice he wrote for the Chapel Hill News & Views is below:

"The Irish Bred Pub owners, Russ Phillips & Neil Jenkins, would like to pass on their sincere thanks to the community for the outpouring of support following the fire that struck on Thursday, February 28th. Thanks to a quick response by the local fire department, damage to the pub was minimal. “We must have the luck of the Irish,” joked a relieved Russ. “Fortunately the fire only affected one area towards the front of the restaurant, and all equipment and the historic character of the building were unscathed”. “While our opening will be a bit delayed,” added Neil, “we are more determined than ever to open our doors and have no doubt that with the strength of the construction team, which includes Len Covington of LC’s General Contracting; Mike Mckenny; Mark Whitton; Mason Allen, we will be ready to open our doors in no time.  We look forward to celebrating with our neighbors who showed us such kindness through this difficult time”. Both owners promised to give Douglasville a St. Patrick’s celebration to remember soon after they open. The expected opening date is now estimated to be around mid-end of April."
